Oh, O'Connors. How I miss thee... One would think I could find a suitable irish pub to meet your caliber in chicago, but sadly that hasn't been the case. (yet)

On to the Clare Voyants. My favorite group of all time. Never did I miss a chance to see them play in the various pubs around Phoenix. I must admit I have a big crush on Jane Hilton (the violinist). What a hottie and boy o' boy can she play a mean fiddle. I'm pretty sure she could win my soul back from the devil (lost in a bet in 1999) if she so wanted to.

Sadly, I'm not sure if they are still together or not. If anyone knows, let me know.

There music is a blend of traditionoal irish and folk as well as original songs written by Shay Veno (lead singer). whenever they played a gig in the small pubs, they always drew a huge and rowdy crowd (myself and my buddies included).

When I get back to Phoenix next month, I'll try to find out their status and try to catch a show.

how does a cowboy ghost drink a beer? Well, i guess you'll find out... but i warn you that it isn't pretty.

more importantly, who is this cowboy ghost and how did he become a ghost. was he a cowboy when he died, or did he take up the cowboy way afterwards???
